I have been teaching private Pilates lessons in Tucson for going on four years, and before that, I had a year of intense instruction to get certified. In these past five years, I’ve worked with clients to correct their imbalances, strengthen their bodies, and correct weaknesses or problem areas.
My class begins with assessing your body and seeing where your imbalances lie. Then, we figure out where you want your fitness journey to lead and implement goals for success. From there, I use all the apparatus in the studio, like the Cadillac, the Reformer, or the Spine Corrector to take you through a series of movements to help provide feedback to your body you can’t get in a normal class.
I love teaching one on one Pilates lessons because I get to build a more personal relationship with my clients, and I get to help them get through whatever issues we are working to correct. On top of that, I get a huge sense of accomplishment when I see how far they’ve progressed because it’s personal to them and we share a bond that we’ve gotten through it together. The one on one aspect of private Pilates is really special.

With a one on one session, the coach is able to put a personal focus on you and nobody else. Each class is personalized to correct your imbalances and reach your goals. Also, if group fitness classes or the gym intimidates you, private instruction is a great, less intimidating option.
In a regular Pilates class, I can give correction, but in private Pilates lessons, you’ll never be doing an exercise wrong. They allow for immediate correction and feedback based on what your body is doing at that exact moment.
My class utilizes equipment designed by Joseph Pilates. Each piece of equipment we use was specifically designed for Pilates to strengthen, lengthen and balance your body. The use of feedback from the equipment takes it to a whole other level. We can see your strengths and weaknesses as you’re doing the exercise.
